PSYCHOTHERAPY AND COUNSELING
English-speaking psychotherapy in Milan — supporting expats, students, and internationals adjusting to life abroad.

About Me
Welcome. I am a bilingual and bicultural counselor and psychotherapist with many years’ experience supporting adults through emotional challenges, life transitions, and the complexities of living between cultures. My aim is to offer a safe and supportive space where your experiences can be explored with care.
Whether you are navigating life abroad, coping with anxiety, facing grief or trauma, or reflecting on identity and relationships, therapy can provide the time and understanding needed to make sense of your situation and move towards meaningful change.
Psychotherapy and counseling
Anger and Relationship Difficulties
Outbursts, emotional shutdown, difficulty expressing needs, or recurring conflict. I help clients explore the emotional roots of anger, often linked to early relationships, identity, and cultural experiences.
LGBTQIA+ Mental Health
Therapy in a safe, non-judgmental space for LGBTQIA+ clients. I support individuals around identity, coming out, belonging, family dynamics, and navigating visibility or invisibility in different cultural contexts.
Focus, Motivation, and Academic Stress
I work with adults and young people struggling with attention, performance-related stress, and compulsive behaviours like phone or internet use. These are often connected to anxiety, perfectionism, or emotional avoidance.
Therapeutic Approach
My work is rooted in a relational psychodynamic model, which explores how early experiences shape present-day patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating. I also draw on trauma-informed principles to ensure the therapeutic space is attuned to your pace, needs, and safety.
You do not need to have a clear problem or diagnosis to begin therapy. We can start with a conversation.
Cultural and Professional background
I come from a large cross-cultural family spread across the world, and I understand both the rewards and the challenges of living between cultures. I grew up in southern Italy and spent much of my professional life in the UK. These experiences shape how I connect with the expats, students, and internationals I work with in Milan and online.
I completed postgraduate training in counselling and psychotherapy, and I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (UK) and AssoCounseling (Italy).
I trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust in London, one of the UK’s leading institutions for psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and of the Italian Association of Counselling (AssoCounseling).
Working Together
Sessions are available in Milan and online. I work with clients on a short-term or longer-term basis depending on their needs and circumstances.
Online Therapy
I provide online therapy through the Zoom platform and offer a flexible and safe space to explore your concerns.
Face to Face Therapy
I provide face to face therapy from my consulting room in the Porta Romana area of Milan. Depending on suitability, I also offer sessions outdoors in green spaces.
