Areas of Expertise

Working through issues
I offer support for issues involving anxiety, international students, grief, loss, trauma, anger management, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Anxiety Therapy
Support for anxiety symptoms, low mood, panic attacks, and chronic worry
Do you often feel overwhelmed, on edge, or trapped in spirals of overthinking? Maybe you’re struggling with sleep, feeling constantly tired, or noticing a drop in motivation or enjoyment. You might be asking: Is this anxiety? Is it depression? These experiences often show up together — and they can make daily life feel harder than it should.
You might be experiencing:
– Generalised anxiety or chronic worry
– Panic attacks or sudden physical symptoms
– Social anxiety or performance fear
– Low mood, fatigue, or lack of focus
– Obsessive thinking or restlessness
You might also be struggling with concentration, racing thoughts, or difficulties staying focused — especially when under pressure at school, university, or work. Therapy can help you untangle these patterns and respond to them with more awareness and support.
How I Work
I’m an English-speaking therapist based in Milan, working in person and online with people across Italy and beyond. My approach is trauma-informed and relational psychodynamic — meaning we explore the roots of your experience and how past relationships, patterns, and emotional habits may be playing out now.
If anxiety or low mood is taking up too much space in your life, therapy can help you find steadiness and clarity.
International Students
Navigating life as an international student comes with unique challenges. I provide support to help students navigating during their university journey and their year abroad. I specialise in assisting international students in gaining insight into their challenges, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering positive change.
Common areas we may explore together include:
– Cultural Adjustments: Transitioning to a new culture can be overwhelming. I offer guidance and support to help you navigate cultural differences and find your place in your new environment.
– Relational and Interpersonal Issues: Adjusting to new social dynamics can be complex. I provide a safe space to explore and address any relational challenges you may be experiencing.
– Anxiety and Depression: Mental health concerns like and anxiety and depression are common among students. I offer compassionate support and evidence-based strategies to help you manage these challenges.
– Motivation and Performance: Feeling stuck in your academic or personal pursuits is not uncommon. I work with you to identify barriers to motivation and performance, and develop strategies to overcome them.
Grief and Loss Counselling
Grief isn’t always about tears. Sometimes it’s a fog, a silence, or a feeling of disconnection. You may feel exhausted, angry, confused — or nothing at all. Whether your loss was recent or long ago, therapy can help you process it.
You might be experiencing:
– Sadness, emotional numbness, or loneliness
– Anxiety or guilt
– Fatigue, irritability, or low mood
– Trouble sleeping or feeling detached from others
– A sense of being stuck, unable to move forward
How I Work
We’ll move at your pace, without pressure. My approach is relational psychodynamic and trauma-informed — helping you reflect on the impact of your loss and what still matters to you now.
If grief, low mood, or anxiety are shaping your days, therapy can help you feel less alone with it.
Anger Management Therapy
Support for relationship conflict, emotional outbursts, and difficulty expressing anger
Anger may show up as shouting, withdrawal, sarcasm, or tension. In cross-cultural contexts, different rules and expectations can lead to frustration and misunderstanding.
You might be noticing:
– Frequent arguments or shutdown
– Guilt or confusion after expressing anger
– Difficulty asserting yourself
– Repressed frustration
– Cultural or relational tension
How I Work
I take a relational psychodynamic and trauma-informed approach — helping you explore how your history, identity, and environment shape how anger is expressed or suppressed.
If anger or the inability to express it is impacting your life, therapy offers a space to explore and shift these patterns.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy
A safe, non-judgmental space for exploring identity, relationships, and mental health
You may be navigating anxiety, coming out, relationship issues, or cultural pressures. Therapy should be a place where you don’t have to explain or defend who you are.
Common themes include:
– Low mood, anxiety, chronic stress
– Identity shifts or family rejection
– Internalised stigma or invisibility
– Pressure to succeed or perform
– Living between cultures or values
How I Work
My approach is affirming, relational psychodynamic, and trauma-informed. I work sensitively and respectfully with LGBTQI+ individuals navigating complex experiences.
Therapy can help you feel more grounded and connected — exactly as you are.
Online therapy
I provide online therapy through the Zoom platform and offer a flexible and safe space to explore your concerns.
Face to face therapy
I provide face to face therapy from my consulting room in the Porta Romana area of Milan. Depending on suitability, I also offer sessions outdoors in green spaces.
